32 Days in America, Day 21
On the 21st day of our trip we visited the Gulf Islands National Seashore and Fort Pickens, we put a bunch of kids in one big bed, and we learned how not to design a hotel room.

On the 20th day of our trip Kelsey and the kids went to the beach with her cousin’s family while Kevin worked at the hotel, and Kelsey discovered what Florida is doing to make healthcare more accessible.

On the 19th day of our trip Kevin visited with a client, Kelsey and the kids went to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, we had dinner and visited with Kelsey’s aunt, uncle, cousin, and her family, and we discovered that Floridians don’t know how hills work.

On the 18th day of our trip we visited Ocmulgee Mounds, found some exceptionally large pinecones, drove to Birmingham, went swimming, and played cards.

On the 17th day of our trip we visited Fort Caroline and Timucuan Ecological and Historical Preserve, helped some locals clear a felled tree, and found a walk-thru Wendy’s.

On the 16th day of our trip Kevin worked from the hotel, Kelsey and the kids went back to the Kennedy Space Center, and Grayson met a giant beaver.

On the 15th day of our trip we visited Kennedy Space Center and Kevin found hot sauce heaven.

On the 14th day of our trip we ate a big breakfast at a restaurant, went swimming, and failed to find tacos.

On the 13th day of our trip Grandpa had surgery, Kevin returned from DC, and we relocated to Kissimmee.

On the 12th day of our trip Kevin left for DC for a work meeting and the car took a bath.

On the ninth day of our trip, we toured the Edison and Ford Winter Estates and hiked the trails at Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve.

Building a Backyard Ice Rink
Given the rising COVID-19 case numbers, we opted not to do a lot of the normal winter activities that fill our days—skiing (downhill and cross-country), snowshoeing, and ice skating. However, we still wanted to be able to take advantage of outside time as much as possible this winter. We have some hills on our property…
